APD Hopeful!

Sam has been looking into joining the Anchorage Police Department for a while, and there are 9 stages of tests he has to take to prove that he is worthy. During the stages of testing, you can only move on to the next stage if you've passed the previous.
1) Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, & a Video Assessment
2) Writing Comprehension
3) Initial Interview
4) Physical Test
5) Psychiatric Test

and so on...we don't know what the last few are yet, but I'm sure we'll find out soon, because Sam passed the first 3 on Saturday!! It was a really stressful day for us, because we want this SO much! This would be a really good step in the right direction for our family. All these tests are to see if Sam can make it into the APD training center-which is a 6 month course.

If this ends up not being the right option for our family, we are planning a prompt move to Oregon with our PFDs! That's where my mom is, and where a large majority of my mom's side of the family lives, so it would be a really great location for us. More updates on the APD coming soon, Sam takes the next test on the 8th!
